Presentation of the Centre FLE

Our French as a Foreign Language Center (FLE) is part of the University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), a young multidisciplinary French university created in 1969, which counts 120 nationalities. The UPJV welcomes more than 30,000 students each year, whom it trains in the 4 main disciplinary fields (Arts, literature and languages - Law, economics, management - Humanities and social sciences - Sciences, technology, health). The UPJV's Centre FLE welcomes students from all over the world. The Centre FLE has been awarded the FLE Quality label by France Education International in 2019.

The teaching team

Each year, our Centre FLE, led by a team of teachers and lecturers, receives more than 300 foreign students. It is therefore a center with a human dimension, conducive to the development of privileged relationships between teachers and students, and guaranteeing a quality framework. The teaching staff of the Centre FLE is made up of specialised teachers experienced in teaching French as a foreign language (qualified teacher, agrégation holder, doctors, etc.).

Where are we located ?

The UPJV Centre FLE is located in Amiens, a city of more than 135 000 inhabitants ideally situated between Paris, London and Brussels. Amiens was the first French city to obtain the title of European Youth Capital (2020).
Famous for its Notre Dame Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amiens is also known as the "Little Venice of the North" because of the many canals that run through it and its hortillonnages. The Centre FLE is located at 10 rue des Français Libres, Citadelle university site, building E in the center of Amiens, ten minutes from the St-Leu and Cathedral sites of the university and from the International Relations Department.
