The different campuses of the UPJV

The UPJV campuses are located in 6 towns in the Hauts-de-France region, north of Paris.
Several centres are located in Amiens. They house all the research teams and most of the UPJV's training components, some of which are located in five other towns in the region: Saint-Quentin, Beauvais, Laon, Creil and Cuffies-Soissons. This territorial network of the UPJV ensures equal opportunities for access to higher education and encourages exchanges with the socio-economic players in the region.

5 UPJV centres and one University Institute of Technology are located in Amiens

The Citadelle centre


The Citadelle centre groups together the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, Literature, History-Geography, Languages and the National Higher Education Institutes for Teacher Training (INSPÉ), on a historic site preserved and developed for the UPJV by the architect Renzo Piano.

The Campus pole


The Campus pole, bringing together the Medicine, Pharmacy and Psychology departments as well as the Presidency and the university's central services, in the immediate vicinity of the Amiens-Picardy University Hospital and the University Health Research Centre where the UPJV's health research units are located.

The Cathedral cluster

The Cathedral cluster, housing the Faculties of Law-Political Science, Economics and Management, the Institute of Business Administration (IAE), Institute for the preparation for general administration (IPAG), at the foot of Notre-Dame d'Amiens Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Scientific Centre

The Scientific Centre, which houses the Faculty of Science Training & Research Units in the city centre, in the heart of the picturesque Saint-Leu district.

The Health Centre

The Health Centre, dedicated to academic courses in health engineering, speech therapy, orthoptics and midwifery, and housing part of the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy, in rue des Louvels in the city centre.

The Amiens University Institute of Technology

The Amiens University Institute of Technology, in the south of the city, close to the Campus.

Saint-Quentin Campus

In brief:
  • Institut supérieur des sciences et techniques (INSSET)
  • Aisne Campus University Institute of Technology (IUT de l'Aisne) 

The Saint-Quentin Campus brings together courses dedicated to industry, the environment, robotics and digital technology. It has its own library and research centre. Its presence in the town of Saint-Quentin has made it a pioneer in the digital robotics sector in France (robotics, digital, connected objects)

Laon Campus

In brief:

The Laon Campus is home to a delocalisation of the National Higher Education Institutes for Teacher Training (INSPÉ) and several courses of the Aisne Campus University Institute of Technology (IUT de l'Aisne) in the legal and commercial fields. It provides students with, among other things, a language laboratory, computer rooms and a library.

Beauvais Campus

  • Oise Campus University Institute of Technology (IUT de l'Oise)

Located in the heart of the city, the Beauvais campus is home to the Oise Campus University Institute of Technology (IUT de l'Oise), the relocations of the National Higher Education Institutes for Teacher Training (INSPÉ) and the Faculty Training & Research Units (UFR) in languages, literature, sciences, humanities and social sciences of the Amiens clusters.

The UPJV campuses are located in towns with a human dimension, where it is good to live, study and work. Rich heritage, cultural diversity, preserved nature, varied leisure activities... There is so much to discover and do in Amiens, Saint-Quentin, Beauvais, Laon, Creil or Cuffies-Soissons!

Amiens, the "Little Venice of the North"

Amiens offers a charming setting resembling a ‘small Venice’. The city, particularly the Saint-Leu district, the heart of Amiens' night-life with its many cafés, bars and restaurants along the waterfront, is criss-crossed by the canals of the Somme.

A green and blue city, Amiens has a diversity of green spaces inviting you to stroll and relax: the Parc de la Hotoie, which houses the city's zoological park; the Jardin des Plantes, one of the oldest gardens in France; the Parc Saint-Pierre and its pond, a stone's throw from the Hortillonnages, 300 hectares of floating market gardens criss-crossed by 65 kms of canals; and the landscaped cemeteries of the Madeleine (where Jules Verne is buried) and Saint-Acheul.

Dotted with contemporary works, Amiens has managed to preserve its traditions and cultivate its fabulous heritage. It is full of cultural treasures that attract many tourists every year: the Notre-Dame d'Amiens Cathedral and the Belfry, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the mansion of the famous writer Jules Verne, the Musée de Picardie and its majestic collections, etc.

Amiens is also a young and dynamic city, which provides its inhabitants with numerous sports and cultural facilities to help everyone develop. Many events are organised throughout the year. Festivals, concerts, plays, shows, sports raids and performances of all kinds create a festive and friendly atmosphere in the city.

Saint-Quentin, Art Deco city

The town of Saint-Quentin offers an exceptional alchemy in the diversity of its heritage, with its former Collegiate Church which became a Basilica, its flamboyant Gothic Town Hall, its Art Deco facades and its underground passages. It was the first city in France to integrate Art Deco into its post-war reconstruction. This exceptional heritage is promoted throughout the year through numerous events organised by the Tourist Office.

Nature lovers will appreciate the remarkable views that Saint-Quentin offers of the Marais d'Isle National Nature Reserve. This preserved natural site, located 12 km from the sources of the Somme, with its exceptionally rich flora and fauna, is the only town centre reserve in Europe. Since 2008, it has been classified as a "Special Protection Area" (SPA) for the conservation of wild birds under the European ecological network Natura 2000.

The city offers its inhabitants a rich and varied cultural programme, as well as sports and leisure activities accessible to all.

Beauvais, city of builders

Beauvais is located in the department of Oise, north of Paris. The city has an international airport, Beauvais-Tillé airport, also known as Paris Beauvais airport.

Beauvais has an exceptional and very diverse heritage. From the ancient ramparts to the architecture of the reconstruction and the Gothic cathedral district of Saint-Pierre, 2,000 years of history and architecture can be discovered in Beauvais!  The city and its surroundings offer a large number of tourist trails, shops, leisure facilities and places of interest.

Discover the Hauts-de-France region
